The Association of Civil Engineers of Greece (ACEG) was founded in Athens in 1961. It is the secondary professional body for the 18,000 registered civil engineers in Greece. ACEG operates as an independent scientific non-profit organization. Its goal is to further enhance the scientific level of the Greek civil engineers, to defend their financial & professional interests and to participate in the study and application of national programs which will improve the technical infrastructure of our country. ACEG is also a member of the European Council of Civil Engineers (ECCE).
Ministry of Public Works
The Ministry, as the main body for handling environmental policy, has launched a broad range project to deal with the problems that concern the quality of life. Thus, apart from the well-known and widely discussed problems, such as atmospheric and water pollution, noise problems and waste disposal management, issues such as physical and urban planning and cadastre, will also be addressed by implementing the necessary measures for integrated and sustainable development.

Hellenic Society for Earthquake Engineering (HSEE)
STATUTES: In Athens today an Association is being established as National Section – Member of the International Association for Earthquake Engineering – I.A.E.E. based in Tokyo, and of the European Association for Earthquake Engineering – E.A.E.E., based in the hometown of the elected, each time, General Secretary of the Association.
Hellenic Group of International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering
The Hellenic Group of IABSE was established in June 2007 according to the IABSE-by Laws and consists of all the Greek Members of the Association. The Hellenic Group of IABSE is responsible for the active support of the objectives of the Association in Greece. The mission of the Hellenic Group of IABSE is to promote the exchange the Greek knowledge and to advance the Greek practice of structural engineering worldwide in the service of the profession and society.
Hellenic Society for Concrete
The Hellenic Society for Concrete was established as a National Section, member of the International Federation for Structural Concrete (fib).
